Yoga is... me time, essential for my body and mind. I'm a planner by nature, always thinking ahead... yoga helps me be/practice to be more present.
What do you love most about yoga? I always leave class feeling better than when I came in.
What do you love most about Barre? It's focused, efficient, and fun - an hour and you're done!
What compelled you to do the Barre Training? My enthusiasm for the class and eagerness to be more involved in the community.
What is your favorite Barre move? Deep barre stretch. Also... barre abs (especially with the ball) get me every time. In a good way!
What fuels you? My friends and family, leafy greens and mint green tea.
My NON-guilty pleasure is... cooking and baking. I would say I'm an intermediate cook and beginner baker. Baking is hard!
What makes you Mighty? Humor, honesty, strength, and sass.
What’s your yoga story? How did you start practicing? I practiced on and off for years before getting into more of a routine in Brooklyn (where I lived for almost 8 years). I fell off the yoga train when I moved up here, which is terrible since it's one of the best things I do for myself in times of transition and change. My sister Lauren and her partner Adam (a yoga lover himself out in California) gave me a Mighty Yoga gift card for the holidays last year, and I haven't looked back!
When I wake up in the morning, I always do these two things... kiss my fiancé, Aaron, and greet our dogs, Nash and Lila!
What's the best advice you've ever received? "Try turning it off and turning it back on" - my dad repeats this to my mom, sisters, and I mostly when our electronics crash, but I have found it helpful in other areas as well.
