What can people expect in your Mighty classes?
Expect to use effort and attention to find more awareness, strength, and freedom. And, of course, to sweat!!
Olivia has a deep interest in the ways in which the yoga practice creates a lamp within us that brightens the world around us. She comes to Hanover for medical school and is appreciative of the Mighty Yoga community for helping keep her grounded through the challenges of her training. She completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training at Laughing Lotus in San Francisco.
She is grateful to Jasmine Tarkeshi and Keith Borden for teaching her how to dance through the poses and through life. She thanks Jason Bowman for showing her how to fully embody each pose, bringing breath and attention ever deeper into sensation. She bows to San Francisco, where she learned that everything is loveable.
We asked Olivia:
Why do you practice yoga?I originally came to the practice for its ability to help me find a friend within myself. Now, yoga and life are so intertwined I don't know where one ends and the other begins. Yoga has taught me that life is a practice and experience is a teacher. I've learned as much about smiling at strangers as I have about standing on my hands. Yoga has taught me that through earnest, dedicated practice, we become limitless.
What fuels you?Yoga fuels me and sharing these sacred practices fills me.
