What to expect in a class with Swan
Swan's classes integrate movement and breath modalities from a variety of yoga styles into a creative and dynamic flow. Expect an emphasis on anatomy and engaging sequences; including modifications and options for advanced practitioners. There is a playful vibe as students move through intermittent moments of intensity, strength, and balance with time for flexibility in-between.
Swan discovered yoga the same way she discovers most things: through a book. In this instance the hefty and illustrated tome was Iyengar’s, “Yoga: The Path to Holistic Healing.” Her curiosity was piqued and she has been discovering, learning and experiencing as much as possible ever since. Swan completed a 200 hour Hatha Yoga teacher training in 2008 and began sharing her passion with others. She later studied and offered workshops in Yin Yoga, Baptise Power Yoga, AcuYoga and the chakras. Swan appreciates the movement, growth and possibilities that exist within yoga. She has been blessed with incredible teachers and guides who have cultivated her understanding; she integrates her passion for music, anatomy and storytelling to create dynamic classes that stimulate healing conversations with the body and invite transformation.
