Kaelyn Roche

Kaelyn began practicing yoga to help regain her physical and mental health in 2018. By incorporating yoga, meditation and mindfulness in her daily life, she has been able to find peace. Through her practice, she has been able to find a more loving and kind relationship with herself, stay grounded, and remain present. She received her 200- hour yoga training through Mighty this year. She hopes to help others find peace and strength within themselves through their yoga practice.

I began to deepen my yoga practice while in recovery. I was struggling with my physical and mental health and was offered yoga to help. I quickly realized that yoga was not just a physical practice. Through meditation and breath work, my anxiety began to decrease and I was able to stay present. After trying what seemed like every anxiety medication out there, I finally found something that worked! (yoga) I slowly but surely began to regain my physical strength and connect with my body in a loving way.

I practice yoga to stay grounded through the busyness and chaos of life. I am able to find connection between mind, body and spirit. I am able to have a more loving relationship with myself and others because of my yoga practice.

My practice has evolved over the years. I began with a focus on mindfulness and breath work, and now am able to push myself physically as well. Now I enjoy the flow of moving mediation.

I decided to teach yoga to help others find the peace that yoga has given me. I would love to help people find their inner strength and be kind to themselves and their bodies.

Off of the mat, I love to hike with my dog and spend time with my family. I find joy in making the world more sustainable and advocating for the betterment of the environment.
