I started taking yoga classes to gain more fitness in my life, and made a New Year’s resolution in 2011 to practice every day. I quickly found that my mental focus and mood were much improved from taking the time to move and be still. After over a decade, my daily practice looks much different than when I started, but the fundamental lessons still teach me something new every day - both on and off the mat. 

Most of the first 8 years of my practice were watching videos online, but I’ve found so much joy in finding a home at a studio! The community and space away from home brings a sweetness and potency to the rituals of practice, and I hope you feel welcome at Mighty, too. 

While my practice did not begin with the drive to be a teacher, I’ve always derived happiness and fulfillment from inspiring others through language. I promise to hold a safe space, so you feel inspired to try - whether that means letting go of expectations, not thinking so hard on what the goal is, or tuning into your breath in a comfortable seat. 

As a sound healer, I also enjoy bringing various instruments and sounds to savasana. You may see me traveling with my crystal bowls, or bringing my menagerie of instruments to a sound bath. To maximize your experience, all you need to do is sit back and enjoy!
