Violet Jones

Around the early 2000’s I started taking yoga classes at my local community college. Yoga started my awareness of the connection between body, mind, and soul. Years later, I found my path as a yoga educator.

I practice yoga in an effort to better understand myself, the world, and my connection with it.  It is a wonderful way to practice meditation through movement and helps me find accomplishment by practicing.

When I initially studied yoga, my focus was mainly on the physical aspects of the practice.   Now, my yoga practice has evolved to a more balanced practice.  I find more contentment in balancing physically challenging practice equally with meditation and breathwork.

As a former frontline healthcare worker, I experienced many years of health issues from burnout.  After decades of working to the point of exhaustion, my physical and mental health suffered immensely.  Reestablishing my own yoga practice has allowed me to rediscover myself and explore life through a different lens of holistic health.   Recently, my focus has turned to integrative health and how regular yoga practice contributes to overall health and wellbeing.  Perhaps the most rewarding aspect of teaching yoga is the opportunity to help guide others in discovering their own connection with themselves and the yoga community.

One of my reawakened passions is travel.  I love exploring new places.  As a life-long learner, I love new experiences and reading.  I also write stories based on my former lives working various careers.

Yoga practice has helped me regain my physical and mental health by incorporating moving meditation that calms the mind, body, and spirit.  I teach in the hopes I can help others find their healing path through yoga.
